Hunter Academies uses instructional materials that are aligned with the Common Core Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards. Most of the curricula purchased are adopted materials by the State of California. McGraw-Hill is used for ELA, Science, and Social Studies in grades K through 12. Singapore Math is used for Grades K through 5 and Big Ideas Math/Larson is used for grades 6 through 12.  UC Scout curricula is used for AP Courses.

Our Elementary program requires a partnership and commitment from parents and/or guardians to support our Kinder through 5th graders with accessing the curriculum on-line, monitoring authenticity of work completion, and submitting work product through our learning management system. Parents may be asked to email projects and verification of work completion on occasion. Students will meet with teachers every two weeks with he assistance of parents for monitoring and support.  If additional support is needed, parents may reach out to the teacher individually to request additional support via Zoom.

Our Secondary program, grades 6th through 12th, requires students to have their own laptop and internet access to be able to access the learning management system. Students at this level work independently through the courses and are monitored by their instructors through check-in meetings. Teachers will schedule to meet with students bi-weekly via Zoom to check-in, monitor progress, and provide additional instructional support. If students need additional support outside of the scheduled bi-weekly check-ins, students may contact the teacher individually to schedule additional Zoom support.
