All Hunter Academies courses meet or exceed California and national standards. In particular, our Kindergarten through 8th grade focuses on the Common Core State Standards as one foundational pillar of rigorous curriculum development. For High School (9th – 12th Grade), we align our courses to IB and AP standards and expectations to ensure classes maintain competitiveness. What sets our K-12 curriculum apart from the rest is our inquiry based problem solving projects. Each course contains multiple project based learning activities that are aligned to 21st century problem solving skills. Students are asked to dive into the mindset of a specific field’s profession (ie; civil engineer). Then, the students go through the process of understanding the problem with research, experiments, field work, and group collaboration to create innovative solutions.
